Yi Lu, born in 1998 in the sleepy industrial town of Huainan, graduated in 2022 from NYU Tisch School of the Arts with a BFA in Film & TV Production.

Writer/Director "Ms. Song" is a narrative short film that delves into the life of a middle-aged woman caring for her mother, who suffers from Alzheimer's, entirely on her own. While she yearns for romance and a moment of peace, her responsibilities create an insurmountable barrier. 

Through this story, I explore the tension between the duties we owe our loved ones and the pursuit of individual freedom.
